About Me - Grace Hearl
Hello!
I graduated from Western Michigan University in Decemeber 2021 with my undergraduate degree in Secondary Education: English and a minor in History. I have three years of education experience. I have student taught in Comstock Public Schools, Kalamazoo Public Schools, and Portage Public Schools. Additionally, I have been a paraprofessional for Portage Public Schools and Kalamazoo Public Schools as well. In 2019, I was selected to receive the Ellen Foley Award for Most Promising Teacher, awarded by the English Education Department at Western Michigan University. I have a deep love and passion for education and believe it is the foundation to produce real-world critical thinking skills. In my free time, I enjoy running, hiking, reading, and am an avid sports fan (Go Green, Go Pack Go!). You can find my resume, teaching philosophy, and a mock classroom environmental plan below. Please feel free to contact me by the phone number, or email found below.
